Nina Esther Yost

Nina “Esther” Yost, 84, of Machesney Park, IL formerly of Carrollton, Ohio, passed away in her home on July 19, 2026, with family by her side. She was born on May 4, 1942, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of Monroe and Nina (Richards) Meteer.

Esther graduated from Scio High School in 1960, in Scio, OH. She worked as a bookkeeper for over 35 years at Ed Long, Inc. in Carrollton, OH. Esther moved to Machesney Park in 2016. She enjoyed playing card games, especially Euchre and Hand & Foot at the Keenage Center in Belvidere. She also enjoyed reading, exercising and taking long walks.

Survivors include her children David (Carrie) Yost and Diana (Brandon) Webster; grandchildren Kennedy, Keaton, and Kamden Yost, Jaden and London Webster; and niece Susan Miller. She is predeceased by her parents Monroe and Nina Meteer; sisters Margaret Adele Miller, Grace Anne Meteer, and Alma Meteer; and nephew Randel Miller.
