Nathanael Edward Fansler, 43, of Loves Park, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2026. He was born on March 29, 1983, in Rockford, IL, the son of Robert and Claudia (Curley) Fansler.
During his life, Nathanael worked as both a mechanic and a CNC operator, but he often said that his first and most important job began when he became a father at the age of 15, long before he was even old enough to work. Nathanael had a passion for dirt bikes and motorcycles. As well as gardening, which he started at a young age with his Father. He knew how to fix just about anything and would call himself a “jack of all trades.”
Known for his kind and generous spirit, Nathanael was the type of person who would help a stranger without hesitation and give someone the shirt off his back. Above all, his greatest happiness came from spending time with his daughters and with his granddaughter, Nora. Becoming a grandfather filled him with immense pride.
Survivors include his daughters Haley Fansler and Michelle Sadewater; granddaughter Nora; parents Robert and Claudia Fansler; sisters Michele, Samantha, Anna, Rita, and Ashley; several nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children Mary Sadewater. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his brother Philip Fansler; and girlfriend Katie Wade.
