Morris Giorgi

Morris A. Giorgi age 69 of Rockford passed peacefully in the arms of the Lord after a long illness on July 18, 2021 at Amberwood Care Centre with loving family at his side. Morris was born on May 20, 1952 in Rockford, the son of August and Margaret Armato Giorgi. He graduated from Boylan High School, served in the US Army Reserves and worked many years selling cars for Fran Kral, Anderson Motors and other car dealerships. He is survived by son Joseph Giorgi, daughter Chelsea Giorgi and two grandsons Philip and Santino Martorana. Also surviving are sisters Sandra (Paul) Giorgi Toldo and Louisa (Michael) Giorgi Payden, an aunt Ange Armato and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and several uncles, aunts and cousins, including special cousin Nick Giorgi who had the same birthday day as Morris. A mass in celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday July 26th at St. Anthony's Church, 1010 Ferguson St. There will be no visitation. A private internment service will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the family are requested. The family gives special thanks to Heartland Hospice and to Amberwood Care Centre for their wonderful and loving assistance to Morris and his family.
