Michael Nusret

Michael “Noose” Nusret, 49, of South Elgin, lost his battle to cancer on October 5, 2019. Born March 8, 1970 in Chicago. Mike grew up in Streamwood, IL, and was the son of Yasar and Irma (Dorner) Nusret. Mike worked in HVAC, Sheet Metal Workers Local 265. He was always willing to do anything to help his family and friends. Mike was a loving father to his son James Michael Nusret. Jimmy Boy was the light of his world. He enjoyed riding his Harley, ATV’s, snowmobiles, and restoring his ‘67 Chevelle. Survivors include parents Yasar (now deceased) and Irma Nusret; his sister Jacqueline (John) Joseph; nephew Jacob and niece Jessica Joseph and son James Michael Nusret and his mother Amanda Wojciechowski. Also leaving behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and his friends that were like his second family. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jacob and Lydia Dorner, and paternal grandparents Ali and Anna Nusret, his uncles John Dorner and Adnan Nusret, and his Aunt Suzanne Dorner. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Rd, Rockford, IL 61107. Visitation 1-3 pm followed by memorial service.
