Michael James Loebach, 71, of Loves Park, passed away in his home on September 17, 2024. He was born in Rockford on April 25, 1953, the son of Francis and Jean Loebach. Michael graduated from Auburn High School and Western Illinois University. He moved to Fort Madison, IA and was the athletic director for the Fort Madison High School and taught at the Fort Madison Middle School. Michael was an avid Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves fan. He attended numerous Final Four games. Throughout his lifetime he lived in Rockford, IL, Fort Madison, IA, and Colorado.
He is survived by his brothers Frank (Bev) Loebach and Thom (Cindy) Loebach; nieces and nephews Tracy (Jason Zarnowski) Pedersen, Tina (Donn) Lowney, Ricky (Grazyna) Schuld, Rob (Tonya) Schuld, Randy (Lisa) Schuld, Steven Saltow; great nieces and nephews Kathlyn (Matt), Kyle, Colton, Haiden, Braden, Olivia Schuld, Hunter, Chayse, and Levi Lowney, and Tori Ganus; great-great nieces and nephews Alaynna and Landen Williams, Ashton and Ellie Schuld, Kamren Jordan, and Iylah Jobe. He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Jean Loebach; and his dog Nikita.
