Michael Konstantivovic

August 24, 1950 — February 10, 2024

Michael “Mike” Andrew Konstantinovic, 73, of Rockford, formerly of Chicago, passed away on February 10, 2024, in his home. He was born on August 24, 1950, in Germany; the son of Petar and Magdelena Konstantinovic. Even though Mike was born in Germany, he grew up in Chicago and graduated from Waller High School in 1968. He worked as a flooring installer for Home Carpet. Mike married Marie Needham on July 11, 1992. Mike and Marie owned a collectibles store in Chicago called Time Machine. This was the perfect business for Mike because he enjoyed collections of all kinds, whether it was toys, memorabilia, magazines, etc. He was always going to flea markets, estate sales, and garage sales. Mike and Marie would take spontaneous day trips into Wisconsin for leisure time and end up going to thrift stores and shops. Mike also enjoyed fishing and poker nights with his friends and family. He was a jokester and played pranks on his loved ones. He was very easy going and he will be missed.

Mike is survived by his loving wife Marie; sister Patricia Duncan; nephews Michael (Denni) and Christopher (Kimberly) Duncan; great nieces and nephews; his goddaughter Skye Tavarez; and his best dog friend Rusty. He is predeceased by his parents.

There will be a Celebration of Life in Chicago at a later date. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
