Michael Foltz

June 14, 1983 — July 27, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Michael "Mikey" R. Foltz, 41 of Rockford chose to take his own life on July 27, 2024. Mikey was born on June 14, 1983, in Rockford to Randy and Terri (DeGarmo) Foltz. Mikey was a lifelong resident of Rockford. He worked as an auto mechanic. He was an ace at riding wheelies and loved the thrill of fast cars and motorcycles. He was a true motorhead. He was imaginative and great at creative mechanics. He was a funny guy. He could always make a bad situation fun.

Mikey is survived by his parents Randy and Terry Foltz; brother Matthew (Brandy) Foltz; sons Shawn and German (Kayla); granddaughter Ava; nephew Justin Foltz; niece Aliyah Foltz; special friend Kayse; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert and Arlyne Foltz; maternal grandparents Larry and Charlotte DeGarmo; and Aunt Pam DeGarmo.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 3rd at 2pm at the Eagles Club 3829 11th St. Rockford IL 61109. A moment of reflection at 2:30. Bring your favorite memories to share.
