Michael Eytalis
February 24, 1940 — April 21, 2024
Michael “Mike” Charles Eytalis, passed away on April 21, 2024, due to natural causes at Swedish American Hospital. Born to Joseph and Phyllis (Shear) Eytalis on February 24, 1940, in Rockford, IL. Mike graduated from St. Thomas school in 1958.
He married his high-school sweetheart Mary Patricia (Harris) Eytalis on October 15, 1960, they had 4 sons and were together until her passing on July 15, 1998. He later married Lavon (Olson) Eytalis October 9, 1999, and they were together until her passing on August 2, 2018.
Mike was a great father, husband, and grandfather. He was a master electrician of over 60 yrs. He was instrumental in the development and founding of the Jarrett Prairie Center and Golf Course in Byron, IL. He was an avid fisherman and a great pool player. He loved his 1963 Chevy pickup. Mike had a perpetual sense of humor and always had a joke in his pocket. He also loved his big band music and his Pioneer stereo. He will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly.
Survivors: Siblings: Joe (Sue) Eytalis, Mary Jean Eytalis Langdon, Patrick (Julie) Eytalis. Sons: Thomas Eytalis, Christopher (Deanne) Eytalis, Timothy (Heidi) Eytalis. Grandchildren: Lauren (Korey Schneider), Emily, Rachel (Ryan Mains), Hannah, Olivia, and Zuri Eytalis.; Great-Granddaughters Josie and Kora Schneider.
Stepchildren: Kathy (Dan) Schultz, Lori (Edgar) Diaz and Kari (John) Pierce: Step Grandchildren: Ashley (Richard) Miley, Chad Pierce, Chris Wing, and Alyssa Wazny: Step Great Grand-daughter Kenzie Pierce
Predeceased by: Son Michael, Wives Mary Patricia and Lavon, Sister Mary Ann.

Mike will be laid to rest alongside of other loved ones at Calvary Cemetery in Winnebago, IL during a private service.
