Mary Kinsman

September 8, 1940 — October 16, 2025

Mary Ellen Kinsman, 85, of Rockford, passed away in her home on October 16, 2025. She was born in Shullsburg, WI; the daughter of Burl and Olive (Welsh) Warnes. Mary graduated from Muldoon High School in Rockford in 1958. She worked for Woodward Governor for 29 years in quality control, retiring in 2008. Mary was a member of St. Edward Church. She enjoyed knitting and spent a lot of time knitting for different charities over the years. She also enjoyed reading and was devoted to her family.

Mary is survived by her sons Scott (Elaine) Kinsman, Lonnie Kinsman, and Kerry (Dawn Kolenda) Kinsman, several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters Sherry Schultz and Bonnie Roosevelt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; son Chris Kinsman; and sisters Lois Lungstrom and Faye Delmore.
