Mary Cramlett, 85, of Rockford, IL affectionately known as "Grandma" to everyone that knew her, passed comfortably in her home October 3, 2021. Mary was born December 22, 1935, to T. Moses & Hettie Hon in Hoxie Arkansas. She worked for Conover Square, Product Display and Community Care for many years as a caregiver to numerous people through the years. Mary truly had a special gift of taking care of everyone. She had a special way of making everyone she came into contact with smile and feel beautiful or handsome. She had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Even though she had a 14-year battle with Alzheimer’s dementia, she never lost her sweetness and charm. She truly loved everyone unconditionally.
Mary is survived by her son K. Dale (Alanna) Turner, daughter Tammie Hada, grandchildren Naomi (Jim) Maddux, Bruce (Laura) Turner, Jerod (Magen) Turner, Chelsea (James) Ewing and Timmy Voyles. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren as well as her brother Eldred Hon and numerous members of extended family. Mary is predeceased by her parents, siblings Duffie, Cruse, Andie and Vera and very special significant other Melvin Strang and special great grandson Cody Garrison-Maddux.

A Service for Mary will be October 29 at 5pm-7pm at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 N. Alpine Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park, IL.
