Martha Russo

April 27, 1933 — April 21, 2025

Martha A. Russo, 91, of Rockford, passed away on April 21, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1933, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the daughter of Lowell and Rosalie West. Mother of three children, a grandmother, and great grandmother.

Martha is survived by Deb (Bill) Keenan; Andy Schmidt; grandchildren Matthew (Kelli) Vipond; Chris (Nickie) Vipond; and Heather (Dave) Anderson-Blais; and many great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Joe Russo of 22years of marriage; daughter Lisa; Sister Patricia; and brother Gene.

The family would also like to include residents and staff at Greencastle of Bienterra for their friendship, special friend Diane Lang who was always there for her, dear high school friend Pat Ball of Donnellson, Iowa & and longtime friend Vana Turner. The family is extremely grateful to everyone at River Bluff Eagle Neighborhood for their amazing care and OSF Hospice for their support and exceptional care, especially Lydia and Alvin.
