Mark Zeigle

Mark Edward Zeigle, age 72, died peacefully after a brief hospitalization in Rockford, IL on October 26, 2025. His brother John and good friend Jeff were at his bedside when he passed at Swedish American hospital.
Mark was born on February 25, 1953, in Sparta, WI to Warren Carlos Zeigle and Ann Jenette (Zenz) Zeigle. Mark went to West High School and was an all-conference cross-country runner for the one year he competed. Mark held a variety of jobs working throughout Rockford. He was a unique person who though he had never married or had children, lived a happy simple life. Mark was a very gifted person who loved to work on cars, motorcycles, motorized equipment, and working anywhere outside. He had an amazing memory, and his heart was always open.
He is survived by his mother, Ann Zeigle, and siblings Mike, Mary, Kathleen, Kevin, Steve, John, and Paul. His father and sister Annette preceded Mark. He is also survived by his good friend Jeff Graham, who lived with Mark for the last few years of his life.
Mark's love, warmth, humor, and kindness will be remembered forever by all who were lucky enough to know him. A date will be set later next spring to celebrate Marks life after his remains are joined with his father at Calvary Cemetery.
