Mark Hose

Mark John Hose, 56, of Rock Falls, passed away on August 1, 2023, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. He was born on November 28, 1966, in Dixon and is the son of Donald and Lois (Grobe) Hose. He attended Dixon High School. Mark had worked at PNC, Inc. in Polo as an automation supervising technician. Mark loved to be outdoors camping, fishing, and visiting the White Pines Forest Preserve. He also enjoyed playing board games with Monopoly being his favorite. He liked to cook, and his chicken nuggets were legendary. Mark was not known to sit still. He always preferred to keep busy. He enjoyed 3-wheeler flat track racing in his younger years, watching motor cross, and farming with his dad when he was growing up. He was very proud of his kids and family, and he will be missed. Survivors include his children Shea (Brian) Kimbro, Nathan (Kate) Hose, and Cassie (Josh Anderson) Hose; grandchildren Brook, Briar, River, and Brian Kimbro, Marshall Grotrain, Grady, and Macy Hose, Cali Hose, and Blake Anderson; siblings Dan Hose, Millie (Billie Henry) Hose, Donna (the late Bill) Seidel, and Amy (Chris) Voss; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Donald and Lois Hose. Mark was in the Trauma Care Center at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, and they did a wonderful job taking care of Mark. The family is requesting that donations be made in Mark’s name to OSF St. Anthony Medical so they can continue to provide the best care for other patients.
