Marjorie Denhart

Marjorie L Denhart, 80, of Loves Park, passed away July 17, 2023, in Swedish American Hospital after a long illness. She was born on April 14, 1943, in Rockford, the daughter of Roy and Margaret (Reefer) McCracken. Marjorie graduated from West High School in 1961 and married the love of her life, Larry W. Denhart, on April 6, 1963. She worked primarily in retail over the years including JC Penney and CVS. Marjorie was obsessed with knitting. She would knit gifts for family and friends over the year, including Christmas ornaments, stocking, and afghans. She had her own business called the Designs by Doc and was the president of the Rocking Knitters Guild. Marjorie is survived by her loving husband Larry; son-in-law Clayton Bower; and her 2 cats Fred and Ethel. She is predeceased by her parents; daughter Holly Bower; and her siblings.
