Maria Cardona

Maria Cardona, 52, of Rockford, passed away in her home on December 29, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 25, 1971, in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico; the daughter of Ramiro Marquez and Juana Rubalcava. She had been an aid in a medical office. Maria loved to go shopping, knitting, and spending time at the park. She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit both Spain and Roma, Italy. Maria loved to cook, especially spicy food, the spicier the better!

Maria is survived by her mother Juana; children Claudia (Luis Aleman) Cardona, Michelle Adams, Brian Cardona, and Erick Cardona; grandchildren Ivan and Adrian Aleman, Lauren and Aries Adams; brothers Ramiro (Carolina Sofia) and Noe Marquez; sister Johana Marquez; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Ramiro.
