John 14:27   Our Beloved Lynda Kay (Ketchum) Cole, age 60, of Machesney Park, Has taken the hand of Our Lord early on Thursday morning of June 15 th ,2023 at 2:15a.m., with her family around her as they held her hand and comforted her. After a long battle with stage 4 COPD, Lynda is finally at peace. Lynda was born on November 6 th , 1962, in Rockford, IL. Daughter of Priscilla (Bondick) Wilson & Mancel Ketchum. Married in 1989 and survived by her 3 children, Jessy (Cole) Butterbaugh, Krystie Cole, & Robert Cole. Her grandchildren Maryiah Clarke, Allyiah Cole, Ellise Butterbaugh, Aiden Butterbaugh, And Amelia Rothenberger.   Not to forget her dog Angelo, that was always by her side. Her sisters Lori Ketchum Havens, Lisa Brooks, Louise Sandberg, and brother Tracy Wilson Her Aunt Juanita & Uncle Raymond Rice. Many nieces and nephews that she holds near to her heart! Lynda is known most for her heart of gold. Without any hesitation Lynda would always be there to help anyone. She was the one to call when you needed a word from the wise, or a shoulder to cry on. The love she gave was always true and unconditional! She was known to be the life of the party even near her last days, she had everyone laughing and smiling! Her Family meant everything to her! We will be celebrating the memories of Lynda’s life on Monday June 19 th , 2023, at 1:30pm at Sinnissippi Park, located at 1401 N. 2 nd Street in Rockford, IL. Picnic Area #1. (Located near the playground, across from the old police station.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help cover Lynda’s final expenses.
