Lucas Caine Miles, 31 years old, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Luke was born in Rockford, Illinois on August 14, 1990. Luke graduated from Hononegah High School in Rockton, Illinois, in 2009.
Growing up, Luke had great talent on his skateboard, and he loved being outdoors- camping, hiking, and fishing. He had a huge love for riding his motorcycle and working on his car and vintage Mustang. Luke worked at OfficeMax for 4 years and received numerous awards for his knowledge and salesmanship. He began his own computer repair business and did repair for numerous businesses. Luke also received his gaming license in 2021 and worked for Accel Entertainment as a gaming service technician. He had a gifted ability for fixing electronics.
Luke also had just started his new job with Clinton Electronics, which he was very excited about.
Luke had a very bright future ahead of him and he will be so greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
As I am sitting here writing my beautiful son’s obituary my heart is absolutely broken. He had his whole life ahead of him. Parents should not have to go through this kind of pain. I will never forget his beautiful blue eyes. He was the kindest, politest, and always most willing to help anyone. He will be tremendously missed and never forgotten.
We also don’t want to forget to mention how much he loved his cat, Ivy. Luke leaves behind his loving father, Craig Miles of Rockford; aunts, Candace Heaslip and Erin Willhite; uncles, Patrick Heaslip, Harry Erickson, and Burt Wurm; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Everett and Georgia Miles; aunts, Patricia Wurm, Marcia Dubrock, Cheryl Miles, and Lisa Erickson; Brian Dubrock and Wesley Dubrock. Luke leaves behind his loving mother, Jackie (Kouri) Washington of Roscoe, Illinois; brothers, Jacob (Danielle) Miles, Dallas Washington, and Brandon Miles; sisters, Nancy Valdez and Karen Valdez; uncles, John Cadwell of Kansas City, Missouri and Ken (Debi) Giesler of Rockford, Illinois; cousins, Michael Giesler of Hauula, Hawaii, Morgan (Seth) Pippel of Machesney Park, Illinois, and Ivy (Chris) Sheldon of Springfield, Missouri. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Constance Giesler; uncle, Carl Giesler; aunt, Jennifer Cadwell.
