Lori Bradshaw

Lori Dean Bradshaw, 64, of Kingston, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the DeKalb County Nursing Home. She was born July 7, 1961, in Sycamore, Illinois, to Arthur & Ethel (Kempton) Byrd. Before her early retirement, Lori spent 21.5 proud years serving DeKalb County, in Facilities Management, alongside her friend and “work husband,” Big Jim. She loved living in her wooded retreat, on a small lake, watching the wildlife and birds, with easy fishing access, right out her back door. Lori was selfless and gave her everything to those she loved. She was most proud of her daughter and granddaughter and focused her life on ensuring they were loved and taken care of.

Lori is survived by her husband Richard Bradshaw of Kingston, IL; daughter Kimberly (Steve) Hilliard of Kenosha, WI; granddaughter Bonnie Sanchez of Denton, TX; sister Irena (John) Perkins of Waterman, IL; sister Lisa Winckler of Waterman, IL; niece Jamie Byrd of Waterman, IL; nephew James (Donna) Fredrickson of Sycamore, IL; Jenni Fredrickson of Waterman, IL; Katelyn (Scott Wiltermood) Fredrickson of Waterman, IL; and numerous great nieces, nephews and extended family.

Lori’s final wish was to make it to her 65th birthday, so a celebration of life is being scheduled around the time of her birthday, July 7th. More information will be shared at a later date.
