L'Orchid Martin

L’orchid Annette Martin, 54, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at OSF Saint Anthony Hospital, in Rockford, Illinois. L’orchid was born to Dale Louis Wilkinson and Lorraine Ann Kellogg in Greenville, Michigan on March 16, 1967. L’orchid attended high school at Faith Center and graduated in 1985. On January 8, 2002, L’orchid married Glenn Martin. She went on to be a paraprofessional with Harlem School District. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a faithful member to Grace Family Church, as well as attending the ladies bible study there. She also worked with North Park Church of Christ as a volunteer at food pantries. L’orchid also loved to spend time reading. She believed in uplifting others with the Lord’s words as often as she could. She made spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandson Alexzander, a priority. She is survived by her husband of nearly 20 years, Glenn; daughter, Emily Vallance; son, Joshua Peters; parents, Lorraine and Gerald Kellogg; grandson, Alexzander Vallance; sisters, Linda Simon and Debbie Phillips; brother, Jim Wilkinson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ron Wilkinson; father, Dale. No services for L’orchid are being announced at this time.
