Linda Marcy

Linda Lee Marcy, 79, of Machesney Park, passed away on July 2, 2026, in her daughter’s home surrounded by family. She was born on July 27, 1946, in Richland Center, Wisconsin, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Hubrick) Armstrong. She married Ronald Marcy on June 26, 1965, and he passed away on February 5, 2014.

Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She spent many happy years on the golf course, and if there was a slot machine nearby, you could count on her sitting down to try her luck. She was well known for her delicious potato salad, never passed up a cake donut, and, alongside her husband, Ron, was a devoted fan of the Indianapolis Colts.

Above all, Linda treasured her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to her life. She also shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Lulu, who was a constant source of companionship and comfort.

Linda is survived by her daughters Robin (Neale) Wessar) and Paula (Mark) Carlsson; grandchildren Nicholas, Derek, and Joshua Wessar, and Ashley Warner; great-grandchildren Gavin Warner and Natalie Wessar; caregiver and special friend Tammy Olson-Hammes; and her beloved cat Lulu. She is predeceased by her parents Paul and Helen Armstrong; husband Ronald Marcy; and grandson Ryan Wessar.
