Linda (Van Dan) King, of Beloit, unexpectedly passed away October 19th, 2021, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born in Harvard, IL Sept 11th, 1950, to Arthur and Viola Van Dan. Linda graduated from Blackhawk Technical college with her high school equivalency diploma Nov 8th, 1990. Linda enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her children. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, and loved animals. While growing up on the family farm Linda was often found riding one of her father’s milking cows, finally her father had enough and bought her a pony to ride. Linda is survived by her three children John (Angie) King, Brian (Jodi) King, and Lisa (Scott Babashka) King. She is also survived by her sister Valeria (Clois) Shook; Grandchildren, Alyssa King, Cheyenne King, Jared King, Kennedy King, Cassidy King and Zachary King; Great Grandchildren Amarah, Makai, Mason, Zoey, and Nova; Niece, Dawn Champion and Nephew Daniel Heft. Lastly, she is survived by her former husband and lifelong partner John King. Linda’s sister Arlene Heft followed her in death 12 hours after Linda’s passing and she was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Viola Van Dan and her brother Aaron Van Dan. There will be no memorial service, and a private graveside service for immediate family only will be at North Sharon Cemetery N1691 Co Hwy C, Sharon, WI.
