Linda S Hernandez, 75, passed away in her Rockton, Illinois home, on July 16, 2022, with her loving husband at her side. Linda was born November 24, 1946, to Jack and Dorothy Logan in Beloit, Wisconsin. She grew up in South Beloit, IL with her three brothers Terry, Jack and Ricky Logan. Linda graduated from South Beloit High School and immediately entered the workforce. She worked at Admiral in Harvard, IL for ten years. After Admiral’s closing she became one of the first women to work on the factory shop floor at Taylor (Freezer) in Rockton, IL. She went on to retire after over 30 years of service. Linda grew up with a love of animals and purchased a ten-acre property in Rockton, IL to pursue her dream of owning horses. Appaloosas were her favorite. She rode her horses in local parades and could even have them perform tricks like bowing or counting. Linda had a great love of all animals, including cats and dogs. Strays always found a home with her. She would even bring in barn cats when the winter was harsh…needless to say they rarely returned to the barn. Linda also enjoyed bowling and dancing. She met her future husband, Luis, at a dance in 1984. They were married May 4, 1985. A year later she was blessed with four wonderful children. Linda leaves behind her husband Luis Hernandez; children Michal Hernandez, Christina Hernandez, Jennifer (Ben Borhart), and Veronica Hernandez; grandchildren Marie, Ethan, Angie, Tony, Johnny, Victor, Eric, Max, Logan and Grayson; brother Terry Logan. Linda was predeceased by her parents Jack and Dorothy Logan; her brothers Ricky and Jack Logan. There will be a celebration of life at the Hernandez residence located at 12042 Old River Rd, Rockton, IL. The date and time will be announced.
