It is with great sadness that the family of Leslie Dean Hendrickson “Les” 42, of Belvidere announce his passing on 08/14/2023. Leslie was born on April 6, 1981, in Belvidere, Illinois to Leslie “Chuck” and Sherry Hendrickson. Leslie graduated from Belvidere High School where he also enjoyed playing football and thereafter studied at Rock Valley College. He worked at Chestnut Mountain Resort “his happy place” and later at Sherry’s Groom Room with his mother and cousin, Pharon. Leslie proudly served in the Navy for four years, following the tradition of his father. His passions were spending time with family, snowboarding, skateboarding, music, art, and his beloved Border Collie, Anova.
He is loved and will forever be missed by his parents, Chuck and Sherry Hendrickson; brother, Mitchell (Kylie) Hendrickson and their 3 children Kinsley, Tatum, and Hayes Hendrickson; Grandfather Thomas Hancock; Many great Aunts and Uncles; Aunts, Sheila Hendrickson, Patsy Hendrickson, Debbie Bohlman, Pam Bohlman, Roberta Bohlman; Uncle Joe Bohlman; Cousins, Brandon; Austin Smaha, Nicole (Nick) Lynn, David Casey, Pharon (Guy) Banwart; Forever in his heart, Makayla, Blake, Emily, David Jr. Lillian, Kyler, Penelope and Paisley. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Leslie B. Hendrickson, Robert G. Bohlman, Jeriene V. Shook and Theresa C. Hancock. Leslie brought so much joy to all our lives. Our Lord and Savior had special plans and called him home at a youthful age. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date to share favorite memories and joyful moments.
