Lawrence Marotta

Lawrence “Larry” Marotta, 84, of Belvidere, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 17, 2021. He was born on August 23, 1936, to Samuel and Angelina (DeMarco) Marotta in Rockford. Larry was a proud Navy Veteran. He was a member of Holy Family Church, St. James Church, Moose Club, Motorcycle Club, and the African Violet Club. He enjoyed woodworking; he made doll furniture, clocks, pens, and lamps out of wood. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, and his pets, especially his dog Foxy. Larry was the loving husband of the late LaDonna; adoring father of Michael (Yana); beloved grandfather of Denis Kolesnik; fond uncle to many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Angelina; brother Richard; and many aunts and uncles. Services are pending at this time. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd., Loves Park.
