Larry Swanson

Larry Allen Swanson died June 22, 2022 in Swedish American Hospital. He was born April 6, 1945 in Lasalle, Illinois, the son of Clyde and Lela (Jackson) Swanson. He was raised in North Park and Roscoe, Illinois. He graduated from Lasalle-Peru High School. Larry was a heat treat furnace operator before retirement. He worked at Woodward Governor and Pfauter Maag. Larry loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. He loved to be out in the sun, whether working in his garden or just sitting outside and listening to music. Larry married Cynthia Monge Gregory March 16, 1990 in Rockford. Larry is survived by his wife Cindy, sons Robert (Christine) Swanson and Brandon Swanson, daughter Christine Cooley (Marcus Reinhold), step-daughter Wendy (Brian) Kapple, step-son John Gregory Van Orsdal and son in law George Breeler, 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Charmayne Potter and daughter Renee Breeler.
