Lane Gillette

Lane L. Gillette, 62, of Rockford, Illinois, began his heavenly journey on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Lane was born on September 2, 1958, son to Mary J. (Korinke) and Louis L. Gillette Sr., Husband to Diane L. Gillette. He was employed for many years as a precision machinist in Rockford. Lane loved to “dip a line” in his younger years, as often as he could. Music and guitar were his passion as well. Many nights you could find Lane after work, restoring and working on his beloved 1978 Ford Bronco. He and his wife Diane shared the love of many pets throughout their marriage, all very special to Lane. Many special memories of Lane will be shared with his siblings, Lorraine L. (Bob) Comerford, Leslie L. (Michael) Hipp, Susan K. Gillette (Claude Davis); sisters-in-law, Sharon Danhour and Brenda Herrera. Lane was an uncle to 11 nieces and nephews, and 28 great nieces and nephews, and was very special to all of them. He was a good friend to many, and remembered to always tell you he loved you, and God loves you. Lane was greeted on his journey by his mother and father, mother and father-in-law, Phyllis and Marvin Fuller, grandparents, brother Louis Jr. (Lee), Sister Lori L., special nephew Louis Charles (Louie), and brother-in-law, Larry Danhour. ? A Celebration of Life will be 1-5 pm, Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the Verdi Club, lower level, small hall, 782 N. Madison St. Rockford, IL 61107.
