Kylei (Kevin) Davenport of Loves Park IL passed away on August 22, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on May 13, 1960, Kylei dedicated her life to precision and craftsmanship as a skilled machinist. She was the proud owner of K2 Precision. She took her machining abilities to the Bay Area CA, and returned to her hometown contributing her expertise most recently at Roper Whitney.
A passionate enthusiast of Harley-Davidson, Kylei found joy not only in her work but also in riding and modifying Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She was an avid shoe collector. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident through her active involvement with the Community of Christ Chicago Mission Center and On Edge Ministries. Kylei enjoyed spending every minute she could with her grandchild, Kennedy.
Kylei was a beloved figure in her family, survived by her daughter Erica Underwood, Son-in-Law Jamie Underwood, grandchild Kennedy Underwood, parents Anna May and Larry Davenport, brother Donald Davenport, niece Jillian (Justin) Davenport, multiple cousins, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her wife, Joan Davenport.
Kylei graduated from Harlem High School Class of 1978.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Kylei's life at the Community of Christ Church, 6103 Forest Hills RD, Loves Park, IL. Visitation will be held at 11:00 am followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm with shared memories from special friends Blake Smith and Faith Gibson.
In remembrance of Kylei's spirit and in support of her grandchild's future, the family requests that donations be made to set up a college fund for Kennedy, in lieu of flowers.
