Kevin Collins

Kevin Dale Collins, 58, of Machesney Park, passed away on November 9, 2021, in Javon Bea Hospital. Born November 7, 1963, in Rockford; son of Bobby and Mary (Dewey) Collins. Kevin was a member of the Good Time Car Club and Gear Heads of Rockford. From a small boy he enjoyed building models and was a member of a multiple model building clubs. He enjoyed racing and raced at the Rockford Speedway, watching Nascar, working on cars and restoring cars to pristine condition. He was always cracking jokes. They were not always the most appropriate jokes, but he never missed the opportunity to be his funny self.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya; children Drew (Cheyenne King) Collins and Ryan Collins; granddaughters Zoey Marie and Nova Jean Collins; brother Dennis (Janet) Collins and twin sister Kathy (Brian) Blosser; several nieces and nephews; lifelong friends Bill and Shirley Jones, and Brad Smith. He is predeceased by his parents; brothers Mike and Jim Collins; sister Joyce Collins; and many great friends, including his partner in shenanigans Manley Finney.
