Kenneth “Alan” Young (68) of Rockford, IL passed away on November 7, 2023.
Kenneth, fondly known as AL, was born to Kenneth Claradon Young and Betty Lou Jackson (Young) on December 8, 1954. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, watching wrestling and spending time with his family. He loved seeing people happy, especially his loved ones. He cared a lot about his family and friends as well as their achievements. He was happy when he had a classic car, driving it to the car shows or cruises. He was a kind soul who was willing to help in any way he could. He had a lot of experience and information to share with anyone who asked. Al was predeceased by his parents Kenneth and Betty, his brother Jerry and his sister Debra. Al is survived by his sister Susan Pline (Steve), his wife Linda Young, His children Chuck Young, James Young (Kelly), Lisa Williams, Floyd Young (Heather), Angel Young, Jayson Young and Michael Young, his grandchildren Devon, Tyler, Jaylyn, Chucky, David, Tai, DeAndre, Rylee and Reese, and his great grandchildren Mason, Isabella, Ava and Salah.
Al’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Friday December 8, 2023, at 4pm. The celebration will be at Central Christian Church 6595 Guilford Rd in Rockford. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111.
