Kenneth Boyd

Kenneth Ray Boyd, 74, of Paduca, KY, passed away on April 29, 2022, in Serenity House in Oregon, IL. Born October 31, 1947, in Paduca, KY; the son of Halford and Mary (Watkins) Boyd. Ken served in the US Navy and then went on to work as a corrections officer. He worked for the IL Department of Corrections, Trans Corps where he transported prisoners across the US. He retired from Keeton Corrections, Inc where he started a program to take model prisoners fishing with him every week. His favorite past-time was fishing, and he enjoyed going to the casinos and gambling boat. He is survived by his children Douglas (Danielle) Boyd, Timothy Boyd, and Daniel (Jaime) Boyd; grandchildren Austin, Dylan, Kayla, Macie, Logan, Allison, and Dawson; brother Jimmy Don Boyd; and several nieces and nephews. Ken is predeceased by his parents; and many siblings. The family will have a private gathering and there will be no formal services.
