Kathryn Reeves

Kathryn Ann (Katy) Reeves age 81 of Rockford, passed away peacefully on June 5th, 2021 with her children by her side at Swedish American Hospital. Born to Eldon and Lillian (Snider) Blades in Rockford, Illinois on November 26, 1939. Katy was a hard worker her whole life not only raising 6 children but at her job in the sterilization dept. at OSF before retiring in 2006. Katy enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  She is survived by her children Gary (Tina) Hurd of Rockford, Shawn (Kenneth) Vader of Dandridge, TN, Michelle (Patrick) Hansen of Durand, IL., and Robyn Lowe of Rockford; sisters Lois (Lawrence) Becker, and Sally McCammond Krusa; grandchildren Miranda, Cory, Katie, Savannah, Shane, Haleigh, Tracy, Crystal, Desiray many extended grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Vernon, Robert, and Raymond, sister Vivian, her beloved sons Robert Curtis Hurd Jr. and Tracy Ray Hurd.  Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 712 Windsor Rd, Loves Park. www.statelinecremations.com
