Kathleen Bauer

Kathleen Ann Bauer, 74, of Rockford, passed away on January 2, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1950, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of John W. Jr. and Violet Ester Marie Cowan. Kathleen graduated from Guilford High School in Rockford, IL, class of 1968. She was involved in the church for many years. Kathleen enjoyed old movies and was a fan of Hayley Mills. One of her favorite movies being the 1961 movie , The Parent Trap.

Kathleen is survived by her children Michael A. (Stephanie) Bauer Jr. ; Jennifer M. Bauer; grandchildr en Nicholas Bauer; Stephen Crain; and Kalie Crain ; several nieces and nephews; and several cousins . Kathleen will also be missed by the many special friends she has made over the years . She is predeceased by her parents John W. Jr. and Violet Ester Marie Cowan; her siblings Mari ann e (Ron ald) Nordmoe ; Nan cy (Earl) Beach; Terry ( Weltha ) Cowan ; and grandson Junior Bauer . The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at PA Peterson for their kindness, support, and care shown to Kathleen during her time there and to the special caregivers that assisted her while she lived at the Faust Landmark Apartments.
