. Karen Graduated from Guilford Highschool class of 1976.
Karen found her soulmate in Garland Mayton . They were married for 42 Years. Garland called Karen his Petunia and Sweet Pea. Karen worked for Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas in Marengo, Illinois for 38 and half years. She was amazing at her Job and worked until her body could not physically allow her to. Her work ethic and incredible drive described Karen. Karen loved to craft, sew, and crochet. Karen loved to play cards and games with her family. Karen loved camping and fishing. Karen and Garland used to compete in how many fish they could catch. Karen loved going for rides on the Harley with Garland. They took many trips to different states and saw so many b ea utiful places. Karen loved the f eeling of the air blowing across her face because she forgot about her diagnosis. Karen had such an amazing soul, smile and personality. Karen treated everyone like family. She a lways made sure to put everyone first. Karen was an amazing Wife, Nani, and Mother. Her children were a huge part of her life. She loved to see her children grow with their families. Her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren loved her so much. Karen was adored and loved by so many.
Karen is survived by her Husband Garland Mayton . Her siblings Julie Ogden, and Glen (Terry) Solfest . Her Three Children, David (Ebony) Mayton , J ustin Mayton and Ashley (Shannon) Werntz . Her Grandchildren, Daviona (Ebony) Hinds-Thomas. Najah, David Jr, Eryn, Angie, Owen, Evan, Hunter, Grayson, Lily, Rylen, Leif, and Great Grandchildren. Karen loved all her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Karen is predeceased by her parents Orville and Beverly Solfest . Her son David Michael Mayton . Her Grandchildren Caedon Michael and David Jr.
