Julianne Van Sliedrecht
January 8, 1962 — July 23, 2025
Julianne Agnes Van Sliedrecht, age 63, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025. Born on January 8, 1962, she was the daughter of Donald Raymond and Rita Jean (Keyes) Braun.
Julianne married her love, Raymond Van Sliedrecht, on April 28, 2006. Together they shared many adventures, from RVing, camping, and fishing trips to motorcycle rides where Julianne happily rode on the back of Raymond's bike.
She was an active and dedicated volunteer of DORS, a home-assisted living program, where her compassion touched everyone, she worked with. Her kind and caring heart made her a favorite among her patients.
Julianne had a deep love for music — everything from old-school rock like Ozzy Osbourne to modern pop like Dua Lipa. She was rarely seen without wearing her favorite colors, blue and pink, and always brought brightness wherever she went.
Talented and crafty, Julianne crocheted countless beautiful blankets that she gifted to friends and family. She was a skilled cook and an excellent gardener and always had a pet by her side. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and incredible food.
Julianne was sweet but feisty, known for her honesty, humor, and strength. She didn't pull any punches, and people loved her all the more for it. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she never missed a chance to shower them with love.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, and fierce love that will live on in everyone who knew her.
Survivors include Julianne's husband, Raymond Van Sliedrecht; sons Maxwell Alswager and Jeremy Van Sliedrecht; siblings, Mary Braun, Donald Braun, David Braun, and Christopher Braun; beloved grandchildren, Jaden Alswager, Calvin Alswager, Xavior Alswager, Abby Alswager, Haven Peulson, and Tristan Peulson; and pets Rudi, Geppetto, and Buddy. A special thanks to Becky and Austin from Family Home Health Network and everyone from the Alswager family. Julieanne is predeceased by her parents and her son, Jesse Alswager.
