Juli Hawthorne

Juli Ann Hawthorne, a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, and a profound love for the world around her. Born on September 22, 1962, Evanston Illinois.

Juli was the daughter of Nancy Butrum and the late William "Bill" Cacciatore, a respected local attorney. Growing up and throughout her life, she developed an independent spirit accompanied by a remarkable personality that could always bring a smile or a laugh to those around her.

Juli had a big heart and was defined by a lifelong, passionate dedication to animals. She was an advocate against animal cruelty, opening her heart and home to countless stray cats and animals over the years. Her profound commitment was officially recognized in 2017 when she received a certification for her generous donations to PETA and her tireless rescue efforts. Her beloved animal family included her dogs and cats—holding a special place in her memory for her late dog, Ely, and deeply cherishing her cats: Mila, Blackie, Benny, and Layla—alongside her fish. Beyond her domestic pets, Juli harbored a lifelong love for horses and eagerly looked forward to watching the Kentucky Derby every year.
Her nurturing nature extended far beyond animals. Juli had a green thumb; her home and outdoor spaces were lovingly filled with a vibrant collection of plants that she tended to with care. She also brought a special joy and vibrancy to changing seasons, deeply loving the holidays, especially the 4th of July and Halloween.

Throughout her life, Juli valued deep connections, sharing many cherished moments and laughter with her dear friends, Tim, Jerry, and Cindy.

Above all, Juli’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She loved them deeply. She is survived by her loving son, Aaron Wright, her devoted mother, Nancy (Jerry) Butram, her sister Jackie Adamany and her children Jordan (Ben) Johnson, Natalie, Nadia, Johnny, her brothers, Jim Thomas and his children Lily and Sam, Billy Cacciatore Jr. and his children Stella and Louis, and her sister Jennifer Cacciatore and her children Zachary and Rachel. Predeceased by her father William T “Bill” (Nancy) Cacciatore.

Her memory will live on in the gentle kindness, and deep love she shared with everyone whose lives she touched.
