Judith Ann Neuenschwander, 90 died after a long illness on December 9, 2025, at her Senior Living home in Oregon Illinois. She was born on December 4, 1935, in Savanah Illinois alongside her twin sister Janet.

Judy graduated from Savanah High School in 1953. Following graduation, she married her first husband Virgil Hyde, and they parented seven children. On November 28, 1974, she married her second husband Norman Neuenschwander along with his four children.

In her younger years she worked as a nurse’s aide in several nursing homes. Then she devoted her life to raising not only her 7 children but also welcoming her four stepchildren and many other children throughout the neighborhood. There was never a day when her home was without children. She lived out her last days at Shepherds Premier Senior Living in Oregon Illinois, where she met several amazing friends who became family. She was surrounded by family and friends in her final hours.

Judy is survived by her children Nancy (Jerry) Lawrence, Carol Stiegman, Jeff (Teresa) Hyde, Connie Hyde, John (Marzee) Hyde, and DeAnna Koruba; 4 stepchildren Lowell Neuenschwander, Roy (Sue) Neuenschwander, Tammy (William) Adkins, Lori (Rick) Bettis; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman, son Robert, daughter Roberta, grandson Eric, 4 sons-in-law Woodrow Stiegman, Jerry Weber, Dave Shue, and Virgil Koruba; her twin sister Janet; and 2 brothers.

There will be a celebration of life on January 10, 2026, at Shepherds Premier located at 8 Terrace View Blvd. Oregon, IL from 12:00 to 3:00. There will be a private burial later. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
