Joyce Heaton

Joyce Heaton, 86 of Loves Park passed away peacefully Monday, August 21, 2023, after a 5-month battle with cancer after being a cervical cancer survivor for 21 years. Born in South Hampton, PA.; the daughter of John and Florence Jesberger. Married James Heaton on October 29, 1955. Joyce was a faithful Cubs fan and loved traveling to watch them. You could always find her sitting in the shade with a good book. She spent the better part of 35 years traveling the country to cheer on her grandkids with their sporting events. When clouds of darkness would appear, she would always have her rosary in hand with her Bible by her side. Survivors include sons James (Veronica), Jeff, Bob (Pam); daughter Theresa; sister Shirley; 16 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Jim, son Steven, and her parents.
