Joshua Davis

Joshua Preston Davis, 49, of Rockford, passed away on May 14, 2023. He was born on September 17, 1973, the son of Robert A. Davis and Judy K. Fischer. He attended and graduated from Rockford schools. He worked as a machinist at NAFCO. Josh enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears. He was also a huge techno-music fan and loved to cook. One of his favorite pastimes was to drive around and go on road trips with his daughter, Brieah. They would grab a coffee, drive, talk, and listen to music. Survivors include his daughter Brieah (fiancé Tate Poole) Grothman; father Robert Davis; mother Judy (Jim Napton) Cochran; brother Jordan (fiancé Sheema) Fischer and their son Frankie; sisters Jeana Cochran and her daughter Natalia, Caitie (Rob) Brooks and their son Owen, and Cara Davis; and uncles Neil (Sue) Fischer and Kirk (Carol) Fischer. He is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents. ? In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to Miss Carly’s, 1125 5 th Ave., Rockford, IL 611104.
