Joseph Engle

Joseph A. Engle, of Rockford, passed away on June 13, 2024. He was born on May 6, 1966, in Rockford to Chris and Nancy Engle. In 1976 Joseph was joined by a new brother, Ernest Monroe. A few years later Joseph was joined by his brothers Charlie and Will Engle.
Survivors include his parents Chris A. Engle and Nancy (LaMond) Waters; daughter Arianna Engle-Wilkins; son Israel Turner; brothers Ernest Monroe, Charlie Engle, and Will Engle; and niece Sylvia H. Engle. He is predeceased by his grandparents Pearl and Estella Engle and Joseph and Carmelina Cicio; uncle Joseph Cicio, III; aunts Carole Nightenhelser and Lavina Engle-Reed.
Joseph worked at several factories over the years. His love for the outdoors led him to do lots of landscaping jobs, painting, and drywall. He was a man of many talents in the labor field. Joseph has always helped the elderly with yards, flowers, and inside jobs as well. He did anything he could to help anyone out. He was such a giving person and true to God’s commandments. He loved animals, especially kittens. His favorite foods were potatoes, pasta, and anything spicy.
