Johnny “Bunny” Barrett, 58, of Rockford, passed away on October 17, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on March 13, 1966, in Tchula, Mississippi, the son of Johnny and Rosetta Barrett.

He is survived by his wife Amanda Barrett; daughters Asia Barrett, Izabella “Izzy” Barrett, Nico (Robert) Barrett; son Frederick “Nunk” (Quetta) Saffold bonus daughters Hannah Krause and Rebecca McLain, and Whitney Sorenson; ; grandchildren Zabian Barrett, Frederick, Jordan, Jace, Rylan Saffold, Aiyannah Krause, Nasir Maxey, Adrian Torres, and Cameron Jackson; brothers Michael Barrett, Rufus “Dewey” Barrett, and Roger Barrett; sisters Debora (Jermaine) Watson, Tonya Barrett, Twina “Nay” (Derrick) Barrett; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends; and his dog and best friend Titus.

He is predeceased by his parents Johnny and Rosetta Barrett; grandmother Rosie Lee Young; stepfather Rufus Roach; and great aunt Rosetta Johnson.
