John W Rhodes

John W. Rhodes, Jr., 60, of Beloit, WI, passed away on June 2, 2026, at Beloit Memorial Hospital after a long battle with kidney failure. He was born on April 23, 1966, in Beloit, the son of John and Dorothy (Donehue) Rhodes, Sr. John attended Beloit Memorial High School. He worked as an over the road truck driver and went on to work as a millwright for many years in the local union 2158 in Iowa until 2020. He married Kathleen Quinn-Olson on December 14, 2018. He was very talented working on cars, and he could diagnose what was wrong and was able to fix it. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and went on many fundraising rides with it.

John is survived by his wife Kathleen; stepchildren Brittany Ford, Bryan Ford, and Brooklynne Olson; step-grandchildren Kayleah, Jayden, and Kylee Ford; mother Dorothy Truit; sister Tonya (Brett) Jacobson; lifelong friend (like a brother) Jeff Straskal; Aunt Rosa; many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his father John W. Rhodes, Sr.; and grandparents Sam and Dorothy Donehue.
