John Neujahr

John R. Neujahr, 71, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Machesney Park, IL. He served honorably in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972. He worked as a machinist at Metcut for over 40 years. He was an avid fisherman. Love for his family was his main priority. He will be missed by his loved ones and all who knew him. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. John is survived by his loving wife of over 51 years Bobbie Jean; children George (Irene), Trisha (Jessica), Richard (Sandy), Jon (Sean), and Martha; 10 grandchildren Ally “Baby”, Gracie, Johnny, Adler, Konner, Kennedi, Kaleb, Alex, Isabella, and Jacob; siblings Margaret (Charles) Martoglio, faithful brother George (Judy) Neujahr; brothers-in-law Randall Cates and Theodore Mehren; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Mary Neujahr; sister Joan and brother-in-law Ronald Monighan, and sister Paula Cates; and father and mother-in-law Ted and Josie.
