We regretfully announce the passing of John Lennon Keck born October 1, 1982, (42) He has left this Earth unexpectedly too soon Christmas Day, 2024. Everyone loved John, he made everyone laugh and would give the shirt off his back for you. John’s funny personality was able to touch the hearts of all. Many of his friends’ children would call him “Uncle Brownie”. John was a Cubs fan and a Bears fan, no matter how much they lost. His love for motorcycles, racing, fishing and hot wheels conjured many relationships that turned
friends into family. He took many trips up to Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin and spent countless hours by the water fishing.
Inspired by his late friend Aaron Chester, John became passionate about flooring and tile. He created his own successful business, John Keck’s Flooring, and was very good at his job! When working out of town, John would check every Dollar Tree, Target and Walmart in search of Hot Wheels he didn’t already have.
He loved his wife Sarah and his two children John Jr. (Jibs/3yrs) and Ivory (Monkey/1 yr) more than life itself! One of his favorite things to do was to teach them new things and watch them grow.
John is survived by his partner Sarah Irving and their 2 children John Jr. and Ivory Keck; father Ron (Jeannetta) Keck; brothers Ron Keck Jr., Jared (Ariel) Donegian, Joe (Heather) Keck, and Bret (Lisa) Daehler, sister Tracy Keck; niece Brianna (Antonio) Grimmett, nephews Jason Grimmett, Anthony and Julian Otero, Camden Keck, Aaron Pedersen and Jaxon Daehler.
A celebration of life has been scheduled for Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 1pm-5pm at Prairie View Golf Club Pavilion, 3764 N. German Church Rd, Byron, IL 61010. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
