John Jones

John Paul Jones, 46, passed away unexpectedly in his home of Rockford, Illinois, on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Johnnie was born to Heidi Schmidt and Donald Jones on June 29, 1974 in Park Ridge, Illinois. Johnnie attended Maine West High School in Des Plaines, Illinois. Johnnie loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar whenever he had the chance. When listening to music, you could bet it was various songs of the Grateful Dead and Phish. He was an avid follower of all Chicago sports, from the Bears to the Cubs. John is survived by his parents, Heidi (Dale Ward) and Donald; sisters, Kim Jones, Holly Gentile; brothers, Tony (Susan) Jones, Brian (Christine) Jones, Michael (Nury) Jones, and Mark Jones; Cousins, Andy (Samantha) Jones, Erik Jones, and Nathan Jones; many nieces, nephews. Johnnie will be missed by many. ? A celebration of life for Johnnie is reserved for June 5, 2021 in Dekalb, Illinois.
