John Davis

December 31, 1969 — November 7, 2025

John M. Davis, 50, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2025, at UW Swedish American Hospital. He was born on October 10, 1975, in Rockford, the son of Michael Davis and Susan Anderson. John graduated from Jefferson High School in 1994. John came from a long-standing military family, including his grandfather, who was a Navajo Windtalker during World War II in Japan. He toured the US on his motorcycle before joining the Marines to follow that family tradition. He has been with his life partner, Laura Quintanilla, since 2004. Over the years John has been active in sports, a bowling league, enjoyed walks in nature, and swimming.

Survivors include his life partner Laura Quintanilla; daughters Amy and Isabel Davis; his mom Susan Curry-Rice; sisters Joanna (Timothy) Schultes and Angela Davis; nieces and nephews; and his cats Jill, Jack, and Charcoal. He is predeceased by his father.
