Joanne Spangler

Joanne M. Spangler, 85, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. She was born October 1, 1939, the daughter of Ed and Harriett (Cann) King. She attended Oregon schools. Joanne married Donald R. Spangler on August 10, 1957 in Mt. Morris, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1992.

Joanne previously worked for Mar-Pearl Company and Pinecrest Manor for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, doing search a word puzzles and car rides in the country with a good cup of coffee. She was a very caring woman, always thinking of others before herself. She could often be found helping friends and neighbors by taking them to doctor appointments, grocery stores, and other places in need.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, husband Don, son Don and granddaughter Chelsie. She is survived and greatly missed by her daughter Sue (Bruce) McCanse, son Ken (Shannon) Spangler and daughter Kellie Spangler. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Kristopher Harner and Heather (Mike) Miller, great grandchildren Monica, Nathan, Lydia, Lylah, Gabrielle, Weston and Scarlett and great-great granddaughter Bella Grace.

A private family celebration will be held at a later date.
