Joann Fox

JoAnn “Auntie” Marie Fox, 61, of Rockford, died September 3, 2019 in Javon Bea Hospital, Riverside Campus. Born February 10, 1958 in Chicago, IL; daughter of Atwood W. and Betty Jean (Lucas) Fox. She enjoyed watching horror, action, and drama movies, and listening to music. Before she got sick, she enjoyed cooking. JoAnn had an infectious personality and loved to spend time with her family and friends joking, playing cards or dominoes, and having a good time. She loved a good party and loved to dance. Survivors include her grandson Anthony Fox, siblings Regine (Floyd) Evans, Eugene Fox, Melvin Windons, Fletcher (Yvonne) Evans, John Berry (Nichole) Evans, Linda (Lawrence) Goshay, and Mary (Elliott) Hayes; brother-in-law Lindell Thomas; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her significant other of many years Isaac “Pie” Gilbert. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Anthony James Fox, sisters Ruth Ann Fox and Izora Fox, and brother Dobbie Fox. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 7, 2019 at DuJuan and Sydney’s home since that was the last place where JoAnn lived. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 7307 N.
