Joan Lindquist

June 12, 1932 — December 31, 2023

Joan (Jo) Lois Lindquist , born June 12, 1932, passed away peacefully December 31, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Joan was the sixth of eight siblings born to Warren Kammerer and Lois (Campbell) Kammerer. She was born on the Kammerer family farm in Pecatonica, IL. and was immensely proud of her farm heritage. She married Robert (Bob) Lindquist and together they raised four children. Joan is survived by her children: Sara (Ron) Bridges, Teresa (John) Marzorati, Arthur (Kim Owen) and Julie Peterson and sisters Nellie Runne and Phyllis Peterson. Joan was a loving Grandmother to seven Grandchildren: Nicole Bridges; Robert Marzorati; Mitchell (Kate), Kevin (Whitney Wiggins), and Jaclyn Lindquist; Kyle and Nicholas Peterson. Step Grandchildren: Todd (Sabrina) Bridges, and Tanya Bridges. Great Grandmother to Aibreah and Rhemingtin Bridges. And many nieces and nephews. Joan enjoyed working as an Interior Decorator at Jerome Interiors in Rockford, IL for thirty plus years. She especially loved using those talents when she returned to Pecatonica to renovate her childhood farm. Joan was known as a woman with a generous heart and loyal spirit. Joan has gone to join her parents; husband; and sisters Marjorie, Katherine; and brothers Warren Jr., James, and Wayne.

A visitation in her honor will take place at 11:00 AM on January 27th at Grace Lutheran Church, 343 Grand Avenue in Loves Park, IL. A Church Service will follow at noon in the sanctuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be donated to the American Legion Post 197 in Pecatonica, IL. Stateline Cremations is assisting the family, 6204 Forest Hills Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111. www.statelinecremations.com
