Jo Renee Dew

January 3, 1943 — February 18, 2024

JoRenee Dew, 81, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2024, surrounded by her family with her children & grandchildren holding her hands. She was born on January 13th, 1943, in Rockford, Illinois; She is the daughter of Oscar and Enid (Roland) Semenchuk. She graduated from West High School in 1961 and met the love of her life 6 months prior to getting married on December 31,1966 in Rockford, Illinois. She worked for places like Barber Coleman, lunch aid at Welsh Grade School, and the Winnebago County Health Department where she retired from. She is the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother a family could ever wish for. She has always been very crafty making beautiful things for family and friends like cakes, decorative eggs (for weddings & anniversaries), and crocheting things like hats for her family and friends and baby blankets for her grandkids. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very very much. She missed our father deeply since the day he passed away 25 days prior on January 24th. And anyone who knows them knows what a funny, loving and inseparable couple they are. Our hearts hurt because we miss them both so much, but we all know our father was waiting for her to take her hand once again and that they are exactly where they would wish to be and that is together and happy once again.

Survivors include her two children son Jamie Dew (Rebecca Smith) and daughter Jill (Chris) Recla; four grandchildren Samantha (Joe) Kasper, Autumn (Kaydon) Battles, Karissa Recla and Holly Dew; and three great grandchildren Mila, Nelly and Aurora; brother Phil (Vicky) Semenchuk; nephews David (Amy) Semenchuk, Steven (Char) Semenchuk, Erik (Tara) Semenchuk. All of which she loved and was proud of very much.
