Jimmy Jackson, 48, of Rockford, passed away on September 28, 2025. He was born on July 20, 1977, to Ben and Nenette Jackson.
Jimmy was a man full of life, laughter, and love. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, he could light up any room with his outgoing and outspoken personality. He had a beautiful smile that his family and friends will always remember.
A lifelong Cubs and Bears fan, Jimmy enjoyed cheering on his teams, spending time with his children, and being surrounded by family and friends. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews and was especially close to his mother. Despite facing a long-term illness, Jimmy lived life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, listening to old school R&B, and never turned down good sushi.
Jimmy's legacy is one of laughter, strength, and love. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jimmy is survived by his children Nakia Jackson, and Dre Mangruem; siblings Cynthia Jackson, and Sabrina Jackson; numerus nieces and nephews; a special thanks to his friends Donny Erickson, Adam Peak, Amber Burnell, Scott Bennett and Jesse Herbig. Jimmy is predeceased by both parents.
